Improvement of the Mexican framework has generated confidence between foreign investors; therefore, 2,146 companies with Canadian capital have been registered until December 2008.
According to the Secretaría de Economía (Mexican Ministry of Economy) until March 2009 Canadian direct investment has reached USD $9.5 billion becoming the fourth largest foreign investor in Mexico.
